As the Notting hill Carnival season heats up, new artistes are emerging with distinctive styles in soca music. Fakekou (Sterling Callender) is one
such artiste.

Fakekou's debut single "Mud" is a celebration of Jouvert, recounting
his experiences and knowledge of the early morning mas atmosphere in TT and abroad. He describes his music as hip-hop soca.

"After visiting the USA and the UK, I realised that there was a whole different music scene going and began exploring different styles," said Fakekou, who claims his style as refreshing and a change from the run of the mill soca anthems of late.

"People tired of the 'wave yuh rag' anthem. They looking for something different in the music," he said.

After having a successful debut in Trinidad and Tobago Carnival 2008. Fakekou is now launching his vibrant Soca song "MUD" in the United Kingdom with the creation of a jouvert band entitiled "WANTED" at London's Nottinghill Carnival.

The launch of this band also heralds the launch of his international line of clothing.
For this special occasion Fakekou is shooting part 2 of his 2008 Soca Video entitiled
"MUD, POWDER & IRON in D Band"- Nottinghill style.
