There is a strong Caribbean-wide tradition of talk culture .This oral cultural expression consists of jokes, songs, clever word play, poems, double-entendre, Anancy stories and folktales. In some islands this is collectively called “Ole Talk”. The audience usually listens eagerly on the street corner, veranda, calypso tent, playhouse or rum shop.
